Everything is Moving FAST
It’s not just you. Everything really is moving faster. Geopolitics. Markets. Technology. Labor.
At Davos last week, no one was asking if AI matters anymore. The conversation had already moved on. It was about scale.
Jensen Huang described what’s happening as the largest infrastructure build-out in human history — energy, chips, cloud, models, applications — all rising at once.
That landed for me. It even came up in a conversation with my wife over the weekend.
Because this isn’t just acceleration. It feels like the system itself is shifting gears. That’s emergence.
Speed today isn’t only about doing more, faster.
It’s about entire systems changing mode while we’re still trying to understand what just changed. And if things feel disorienting right now, that’s not a failure of leadership.
It’s a signal of timing. As Level 7 Leadership: The Blueprint for the Human+Machine Era puts it:
“The pace of change has outstripped the pace of comprehension.”
The risk isn’t speed itself. It’s speed without orientation. Because noise, not velocity, is what really slows organizations down. So the real question for Level 7 Leaders is: How do we stay coherent while everything accelerates?
