My View of Leadership has Shifted
Something shifted in how I see leadership.
After years as a CEO, President, and Board Member—starting and building companies, leading inside large institutions, and working in AI (since 2019)—I kept running into the same realization:
The AI models weren’t breaking.
Leadership couldn’t keep up.
Here’s what became clear:
The human operating system fails before the strategy starts.
“Strong teams stall from overload, pressure, and misaligned state—not lack of intelligence.” - L7 leadership.
“More market opportunities close due to silent leadership collapse than to flawed ideas.” - L7 leadership
AI amplifies whatever the leader transmits.
Clarity scales. Confusion scales. Trust scales. Fear scales.
It doesn’t fix gaps—it exposes them. Are you feeling this yet?
Coherence is now a performance variable.
The most aligned teams are winning.
Speed without rhythm creates noise.
The ability to pause and move in cadence is now an imperative.
The role of the leader has shifted:
From controlling the system (old way) → to tuning it (new way).
That changes everything.
This is why I wrote Level 7 Leadership: The Blueprint for the Human + Machine Era.
Not theory.
Not academic.
Not fear-driven.
An actionable model for today’s leaders - across startups, scaled companies, and human+machine teams (you are already interacting with AI more than 50x a day, that’s the human+machine team).
